When putting drums in tracks I’m using midi packs, the midi roll in protools and a keyboard to act as a midi controller,
I was thinking about getting a “pad” based midi controller to just tap out simple beats on a small unit rather than an 81 key keyboard,
something like the Native Instruments Maschine Mikro MK2
or the Akai MPC Element
I’m aware there are others, what are you guys using, or what would you like to use ?
I’m not looking at a drum setup, just a great pad based simple to tidy up some of my messy programming
Besides my Hart kit, I use a KORG padKONTROL.

I used to use a Korg PadKontrol. I’m using a Zendrum Zap now.

thank you, the korg looks like it will fill my basic needs and it seems a great price.
Korg padkontrol is not made anymore. Anybody try the new NativeInstrument Machine Mikro?
