Hello all,
I’m trying to map my midi drum out to ezdrummer 2. My edrum drum is a XDRUM DD530 and I have 2 cymbals. I assigned my cymbal 1 midi to channel 55 which is equal to cymbal 1 in EZdrummer and my cymbal 2 to midi channel 49 which is equal to cymbal 2 in EZ drummer as it is requested in the details of the EZdrummer 2 Modern “Dry Rock” drum kit. Now it happens that while I’m hitting my cymbal 1 it seems that channel 55 is recognized but forwarded to channel 47 which is cymbal 2 (see attached screenshot). No matter if I play my cymbal 1 (55) or cymbal 2 (47) ist is always playing channel 47 and I can see only cymbal 2 in EZdrummer is moving, but not cymbal 1.
If I alternatively assign my both cymbals to the midi channels 49 and 57 instead, it surprisingly works, and in EZdrummer cymbals 2 and 3 are played. Why cannot use cymbal 1 on channel 55? My goal is to address cymbal 1 and 2 of EZdrummer.
Similar things happen to the channels of the toms. Only my racktom on channel 48 works fine. If I assign my racktom 2 to channel 47, which supposed to be equal to racktom 2 in EZdrummer it will be routed to 80 which ist the rimshot of racktom 2. If I assign my racktom 2 to channel 45, which supposed to be equal to racktom 3 in EZdrummer it will be routed to 47 which ist the center of racktom 2.
I’pretty much lost now. What I’m doing wrong?
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
Best regards,
Martin
Have you found a solution for this? I am getting the same issue. My Roland TD-25KV mapping is done automatically, but i am using eDrumIn for my extra Crash and Splash. I Assigned them to the proper Keys/Notes as shown in EZDrummer 2 but when i hit it, the MIDI In shows the correct MIDI note triggered but is being forwarded to another Note/Key something like “E2 -> A2”.
I am using the demo installation as i am trying it out first before buying the full version.
