Ok, I just picked up EZDrummer and now I need some EZX’s.
I am mainly a metal musician but like to dabble else where – such as Pop, Rap, and Electronica.
Usually I have all I need in iDrum or host based drum solutions such as FPC or DrumRack (I use both FL Studio and Orion), but I have always held the belief that for maximum impact the song MUST have as real of a drum/percussion section as possible, the energy of the hit carries over in the sonic….you’re all musicians I’m sure you get it, so you know why I had to have myself some Toontrack lol
Anyway, in a perfect world I’d just buy everything I want and figure it out myself but like most of you I don’t have the kind of disposable cash that’s going to require! lol
So my question; which EZX, Metalheads or Metal Machine, would be best for a hobby producer to achive both the hardcore metal drum sound with the versatility to reach into other genre’s without looking like a troll at Cinderella’s Ball?

If you’re the over achiever type there is a link to my public library. Give a listen to them and try to imagine all the drums being replaced with more ‘natural’ samples in the ‘Metal’ sonic family.
Along with this question feel free to suggest presets that I can easily find or whatever that would make the process of updating these tracks easier, again, if your the over achiever type…
I like Metal Machine. Produced by Andy Sneap.

Looking in to that and similar factors makes me lean towards Metal Machine as well. Also it seems to have a more contemporary sound in mind than Metalheads. I especially like the different mix options available in Metal Machine over Metalheads.
Ok, never mind!
I got impatient and just ordered Metal Machines… lol
I’m pretty sure I’ll be happy with it.
