So Superior’s Master Volume defaults at 0.0db but when turned to +12.0 sounds equal to other third party plugins in Ableton. How do you properly compensate for this, it makes for some wacky mixing midway thru production…Any suggestions? Anyone else struggle with levels especially with multiple-outs….
I would say a couple of things, firstly no not having problems with the multi-out’s. DAW’s are known for having just reference meters rather than accurately calibrated to a standard eg K-12 etc, if you want to compare the levels the best thing to do first is get some decent metering software. Also I would assume that the other plugins (prob synths?) are normally set quite high in volume (additional post processing to make the presets sound nice on their own etc) where as superior needs mixing to an environment….

I’m mixing songs in EZmix 3 and I’m noticing that the songs are slightly varied with their output level. I have nine songs I want them all to match. Is there a leveling application or a meter that can show me and allow me to keep the overall output on the songs consistent?
Hi,
any of the Mastering presets on your master bus would give you short term and average LUFS values, as well as the peaks on the outputs. Perceived loudness also depends on the material but if you get the average LUFS values about the same, you should be good.
