Lovely tone – but where’s the Solo, sir?

that tune is screaming for a tasty solo
I do dig the guitar tone, though.
    I want that Amp!!
    Thanks for sharing with us.

It’s coming. I had to work up another demo so I was busy with that. I will be working on the solo tracks in the coming weeks. I’ll most likely cut the demo in half with respect to length. You can hear the other Dirty Boy demos including the latest which has the Superior Drummer tracks on it (Same Set, New Your Studios, Massive Ludwig) at the http://www.mojaveampworks.com/dirtyboy/DirtyBoy/Sound_Clips.html

This time I created the midid from scratch using Drumtracker and building it on my own.

I laid down those solos you asked for. I used an amp I build for Billy Gibbons as a matter of fact.

We recived Billy’s amp back after his tour rack took a dive apparently a pretty big drop of the dock. The result was one preamp was intermittent and a knob or control pot was broken or bent. So we quickly repaired it. I was playing the amp as I always do for good measure to validate all was well before sending it off back to the band since they are out on tour and need it according to their own words ” REALLY BAD, we never knew how much we depended on that amp for our sound!” which is quite faltering. Anyway I fired it up and threw on a backing track. I used a Rhythm track I recorded as a Dirty Boy demo, Dirty Boy Rhythm Sound to be specific. It had no solos on it. Well to make a long sotry short, I wond up tracking solos with Billy’s amp and it was nothing short of freaking insane on tone and responce. I have to admit, I might be getting superstitious since I never play very well but I did get some good vibe going so the Gibbons Mojo must be lurking within the box……..
Well hear for yourself. This is the amp we built for Billy and he has used exclusivly for his tuoring for years now. He also has some Scorpion amps for his studio as well. The Rack Mounted Scorpion is esentially totally stock with a few exceptions with respect to features only not tone. The truth is, we are the amp behind the curtain so to speak.

Here are a few photos of the amp to check out if your into that kind of thing.
