Ok guys, hopefully an easy question. Last night I was working on my kit and midi mapping and I ran into an issue. My setup is a ddrum 4Se and a Roland TMC6 both going out to a midi merge box and then into my interface. The ddrum uses midi notes, and the TMC6 uses note #s. To make things even less consistent, I have changed midi notes around through time for one reason or another.
I started from scratch last night by actully clearing out ALL midi for one of my kits. I started with the hihats, and mapped the whole kit, leaving off all the tom rims, and articulations that I don’t have. When I got to the last 2 cymbals, one a single trigger DIY type (connected to ddrum) and the other a Yamaha PCY130 connected to the TMC. I used the learn function and clearly set the single zone as midi note 72, while both the edge and bow of the PCY130 are mapped to note 75. However, hitting the cymbal mapped to note 72 triggers both of these (cymbals 2 and 4 in Allaire). Any idea?
I can actually choose none for cymbal 2, then go to cymbal 1, load a cymbal and use the learn function and have it learn note 72, and all is fine. Go back to Cymbal 2 and it triggers both notes again.
Help!
Thanks,
J
