Making drums with a Casio keyboard?

Not sure about this but since I’ve got EZDrummer i’ve been doing the drums in my CTK-800 a Casio keyboard, I’ve been using it and a MIDI editor (the built-in midi editor within Reaper) but one day i figure it out that I maybe not getting all of the sounds out of EZ, is this true?

Because it sounds very realistic to me, I (sometimes) have had to adjust manually the intensity of the hit on the MIDI editor. Am i living in a fantasy? Because I now see myself looking at some trigger fingers, padkontrols, etc, etc…

My keyboard is touch sensitive, i’ve been assigning and editing intensities thru the midi editor…

Any ideas? Should I get the controller pad?
