Hi, I’ve just got a cheap Thommann HD100 digital kit (identical to the DD501 many other brands use). The pads require me to hit them very hard with EZ drummer. Is there any way to increase the sensitivity within EZ drummer itself to give a more dynamic touch? Thanks
Probably should mention I’m using EZD in Logic 9. Anything I can do within Logic?
EZdrummer doesn’t have the controls needed to change incoming MIDI in this way, Superior Drummer 2 does however.
Logic 9 can change incoming MIDI in real time with its Transformer, that’s found in Environment. Here’s a tutorial on how to use it:

What you need to do is to make the incoming midi’s velocities higher. There are lots of tutorials covering how it operates

Reply here if you can’t get it to work.

Thankyou very much, Henrik, I’ll check out those techniques. Maybe it’s time to upgrade to SD. How much does that cost as an EZ owner?
Hi Henrik, I’m finding these Environment tutorials extremely hard to follow. I gather that I need to insert a transformer object between the incoming midi and only attached to the channel(s) with EZD drums on. Is the best way to do this on the Mixer layer? Any detailed tips would be awesome.
Also what is your recommendation for the settings in the Transformer to give me a livelier, more sensitive setup with EZD?
If you could suggest a single source for someone showing how to do this, that would be fantastic, thanks!
