the one that works the best is Tap2find, though sometimes it’s squirrelly. Implement a matrix so that more than one aspect can be changed at a time, and effectively, like in Logic Drummer. I am not a drummer but a musician, to me the speed with which I work is more important than minute details about drumming that I really don’t care much about. In some features like Song Creator I don’t see much point, since it picks up patterns from the same library; I’d just open it myself and select what I want.
Bandmate seems redundant; it attempts to do what Tap2find does but less successfully. Other than that, EZ Drummer is the best drum machine after the Logic Drummer, which is more limited but gets stuff done fast.
and I concede it is very well done, and has solid reliability…..none of that buggy amateurish software from other companies. I want to use more EZ Drummer, and less Logic Drummer.
I am not a drummer but a musician= I am not a drummer but a guitarist/keyboard player/bassist
I stand corrected, Bandmate generated NEW grooves. I am starting to get results, however the separate file recording and then loading stuff is a chore. Just let us record the audio in EZ Drummer, what’s the big deal.
and the Song Creator actually allows me to edit the pattern in detail, which is different than dragging the pattern directly into the DAW as was done with the past version. I am getting convinced, Toontrack.
so why can’t I record a midi file in the song creator and then drag it into bandmate? it all feels like looking for needles in haystacks….no matter how many times I try, I always go back to the logic drummer. EZ Drummer has a ton of features but it’s not fast to work with.
