Today I’m releasing a cover I did together with my friend Jordi Megmao of the song Lost On You by LP. The cover has a twist in the arrangements towards altern rock / progressive rock genre.
I programed the drums using Superior Drummer 3 with the SDX NY studios Vol 2. I exported the raw tracks and mixed them in Reaper. I programed the bass with EZBass and then exported the DI to process it and mix it with 3rd party plugins in Reaper. So glad to have those amazing tools at my hand!

Sounds really good. I like what you did with the New York 2 SDX. I like the results that I get from that expansion pack as well. I gather you used the Allaire side?

Many thanks mate! 🙂
I’m not sure which of the two studios used in that specific song. I’ll check it later the session and post more details FYI.
Cheers!

You were absolutely right! Allaire studio with the 14″ 24″ Ludwig Kick, the first snare on the list (love that snare!) and first toms on the list (only using the lowest of the two floor toms).
SDX Vol2 is one of my favourite expansions that I have (although I think I may say the same of all other expansions I have XD ).

I am not sure that I can say that about every SDX that I own, but I know that I have a few go to packs that easily fit the song at hand. The Allaire side is definitely one of those go to packs. Something about the way Nir Z hits the drums combined with the ambiance.
