Latin Percussion EZX External Triggering Pad

I’ve put this in the ‘studio corner’ thinking and hoping others have tried this setup. What I want to do is to setup an external pad/trigger(not an electronic drum set) to play with my tapping fingers, the samples of the latin percussion instruments as I record them to make my own original arrangements and solos of the various instruments, especially Timbales. I’ve looked up some ‘budget’ pads on an online retailer. One is the Korg nanoPAD2. There are a couple others also around this price range.

Any comments, suggestions or recommendations from the community would be very helpful.

To reply to my own post. I just saw the Korg nanoPAD2 used with EZ Drummer 2 on youtube. It’s exactly what I was looking for to trigger all the Latin Percussion samples. It’s now on order and will update when I get it and do the installation and test it out.
