In EZKeys, under “Menu” “Song Track”Keep Midi in Chord scale” What does this mean? I played around with it by setting it to the Keep setting and entered some very unrelated chords and noticed nothing.
Hi,
from the release notes:
– Use Browser MIDI, Paste Chords and Paste MIDI now make the MIDI notes follow scale, if the menu option “Keep MIDI in Chord Scale” is on (which is the default).

It tries to keep all notes in the scale. It sounds good most of the times, but sometimes you may want the extra “flavour” from some odd notes, which sometimes makes the music interesting. To try this, un-check the option.
However, most of the times, you’ll want the notes to be strictly adjusted to the scale.
