Dear Toontrack
Some time ago I acquired EZdrummer and the Jazz expansion pack after having heard some sound bites. I like the sound, let there be no doubt about that, however, I was very disappointed by the midi loops that came with it – way too complex and way too specific. Especially the fills are almost unusable unless you are either writing on a song that coincidentally follows the narrow rhythmic patterns of the midi’s, or you are willing to write and record so that it fits these rather odd fills. The lack of good and solid general-purpose patterns is rather disappointing.
I was therefore pleasantly surprised this morning to find in my inbox an email from you promoting your new Jazz midi pack, and I immediately went online and paid the EU 25 that you asked for. And here is the thing: EU 25 is not a lot to ask for, I know that. But when you add it to the money I already paid for EZdrummer and the Jazz expansion pack it sums up, and I’m still lacking something as elementary as a basic slow jazz or a simple swirl pattern without too many whistles and bells. And the keyword(s) here is really “without whistles and bells”..
Are you planning to release anything for EZdrummer in the near future that can be used by us mortals who just likes write solid and smooth jazz compositions and arrangements?
Thanks,
Kenneth

hi toontrack
just running into this post but totally agree. i own over 55 of your products, over all am very pleased, until we talk about smooth jazz. of coarse all can be used and adapted, but not designed specifically for smooth jazz with presets, tutorials, tips and tricks like other genres like pop, rock and many “months of metal”. i love all genres of music, but would love to have some serious attention paid to the smooth jazz style. some of the artists that i am referring to would be, George Benson, Norman Brown, Chuck Leob, Brian Culbertson, Four Play, Lee Ritenour, Marcus Miller, Gerald Albright, Jeff Golub, Jamiroquai, Incognito, Harvey Mason, George Duke, Boney James, Snarky Puppy… just to name a bunch. again i know that most of the elements can be found in other products but it would be wonderful to get a little special attention and love. thanks for listening. it would be great to hear from you!
thanks again for all of your products
Trey
