Is there a way to "Punch-In" using the in-built Track Display at the bottom?

By “Punch-In” I am referring to the ability to have recording start at a specific point during playback (to allow myself to re-do a section of a drum part during a song if i mess it up without having to re-do the entire take.)?

Sort of like in ableton with the two indicators to the left and right of the loop toggle?

There is no dedicated Punch in/out feature, but will it work if you just cut a gap in the song block, where you want to add the new recording, and record into that gap?
If you want restore the part from the song block where you made a gap, simply extend the song block by dragging its edge.
