You can’t remap MIDI notes, nor add new instruments in EZdrummer 2. There are EZX:s which has 2 snares (like the Reggae EZX). You can add another instance of EZd2 which has another snare, and any MIDI mapping would have to be done in the DAW.

All this can be achieved directly in Superior Drummer 3.

    Thanks, Henrik,

That is really useful. Do you have a definitive list of the EZx’s with secondary snares? I doubt I would fully utilise the Reggae pack but a couple of EZXs are definitely in my future.

I don’t know what libraries that comes with multiple snares by heart, but they aren’t common (well, generally drum kits with two snare aren’t common). Check the EZX:s on the products page, and you’ll see what they look like 🙂

    Hi there,

Question: I don’t have a midi keyboard and I am trying to create grooves that I cannot find in the library. For instance, a hip hop/ soul beat, with the double hits on the snare. ( hitting the side stick and just the rim simultaneously, to create sort of a clap effect)

I am obviously a brand new user and from what I see it seems that for 90% we are tie to the pre existing grooves, so if I cant find what I want would be hard to create your own.

Is it possible to do so?  Also, how do I edit single instruments hits. For example, lets say that I have 8 snare hits, and I want to either move a specific one or get rid of it or place it on the upstroke or wherever…how do I do that?  From what I see the hits are recorded as little dots, but  I dont know how to control those dots if I want to edit them. Thanks so much

All editing down to the single hits can be achieved in your DAW. Find something close with the Toontrack MIDI, drag to your DAW and edit in your DAWs piano roll editor. You can also pencil exactly specific grooves from your DAWs editor to. You’re not tied to any Toontrack MIDI that way.
