Is it possible to edit an existing drum roll down to only last 2 beats instead of 4?

I am using EZ Drummer 2 as a stand alone – not with a DAW.

I want the drum roll to start on beat #3 and last until the downbeat of the next measure. It’s in 4/4.

So far, I can’t find any way to shorten the drum roll, which lasts for 4 full beats. I was able to move the start of the roll to beat #3 with no problem.

Using the SCISSORS icon, I can select the second half of the roll that I want to remove, but it will not remove it.

Either you cut the part into pieces and delete or fill the rest from another part, or Midi data can be edited also over a simple text editor. Find the right note number, length and position. How about a small midi editor like on http://midieditor.sourceforge.net ? Ezd2 editor is just for making easy variations.
