Pardon the stupid question, but I’m a n00b, so I don’t trust my ears. Often, what I think sounds awesome while recording, will sound like ass when I listen back to it, especially on other systems. So I’m looking into EZmix. I’m using the Rock Solid EZX. What I want to know is, from the pros who designed this stuff, should I leave Rock Solid EZX alone, or apply some Randy Staub EZmix pack presets? In other words, were the Rock Solid EZX drums engineered by Staub to the point of not needing anything? Do they already incorporate the effects of his EZmix presets? Will adding Randy Staub EZmix presets to them make them n00bishly overbearing, like running a Metal Zone pedal into another Metal Zone pedal? lol
Hi,
while the analogy with the pedal is valid, it still depends.
Applying a Snare Punch preset in EZmix on the Snare in the Punchy Preset in EZdrummer would probably be too much but using any of the Bus presets on some of the EZdrummer outputs might fit the context of your song. Not to mention what the Vocal, Bass, and Guitar Presets might do for your Song, along with the Master Bus Presets.

You don’t have any products registered to your account. You want a discount for what exactly?
