Once you disable your internet connection to protect your computer, the authorization code that they give you doesn’t work “offline”… You have to be online for it to work.
Is this true? Does this software require an internet connection?
Most of the time at gigs there is no internet connection…
It isn’t true.
You can authorize your Toontrack products in an offline state. You get 4 authorizations, so you can authorize in both connected and unconnected forms.
As to how you exactly do all that, don’t ask me as I’m not a tech head.
You just need to make sure you authorize your Toontrack with your NIC disabled then.
Where folks get authorization issues is when they authorize with the NIC active, then turn it off and, since the NIC state (on/off) is part of the Computer ID, the software thinks the hardware has changed.
Or, you can use 2 authorizations (one with the NIC on and one with it off) and play it safe.
