Everything went fine until now.. I have all of those libraries installed on my external SSD but it won’t show presets etc. in sd3 cos when I try to update Core midi library it just gives me a error “Could not update “SL-SuperiorDrummer3/Name”
edit.
It’s because it automatically installs core midi on my macbook’s internal SSD and then installer tries to update files from the external SSD. How can I manually set it to update from the right location?
Hi,
I believe you are mixing up presets with MIDI grooves.
Presets, i.e. saved states of the sampler with kits and mixer setups, are always saved to the system drive, along with the actual plugin(s) and standalone application(s).
Libraries and Toontrack MIDI, on the other hand, can be installed on external drives.
If you go to Settings > Libraries and scroll all the way down, what does the path say?
Can you click the ‘Edit…’ button?
