I was searching the web for a cocktail drum set library, not exclusively by Toontrack. I was very glad too see that the Cocktail EZX exists and was distributed with the EZD 1 withI already owned but not using it because I’m now using EZD3. Downloaded the cocktail EZX from product manager but I’couldn’t install it because the installer wasn’t up to date for my OS (MacOS Monterey, 12.6 ). Is it too much to ask for such an update?

Hi,
I have no info regarding a possible update for this long since discontinued EZX but if you feel confident enough you can manually install it.
Manually tinkering with the contents in the Finder is always risky if you do not know what you are doing though.
So, with a big red warning sticker attached, here’s how you could do it:
Now you can launch EZdrummer 3 and you should find both the EZX and its MIDI

using os 13.2.1
any ideas?
Hi,
when do you get this message? When trying to mount the image in the Finder? What if you just Download and Open in the Product Manager?

Thanks for trying to help with this John. When I opened Product Manager initially, I was able to download it, but installation is greyed out and says it’s not available. See photo attached.
Hi,
click ‘Show Details’ and then ‘Open’ for the Cocktail EZX under Extras.

Hello John, Thank you again for all of your help!
I followed your direction but still cannot get the product to install.
Please see the attached screen shot.
Hi,
there is no current installer for this long ago discontinued product, which was the point of the OP and my detailed reply on how to manually copy it and its MIDI files onto a current system. I thought you had read my first reply but was unable to open the disk image.
I suggest you read my reply to the OP and if you follow my instructions, there should be no problem but since it involves manually copying into folders inside the ‘Library/Application Support/EZdrummer’ folder, the red warning sticker remains: neither I nor Toontrack can be responsible if you accidentally overwrite/delete stuff.
BR,
John

Hello John,
Please indulge me a bit longer. I started with your instructions, but had no luck. That is why I started this conversation.
Please look at the 2 screen shots I have attached.
1st is the location of both files in the places you suggested.
2nd is showing the MIDI is available in EZDrummer 3, but the Kit is not.
Hmmm… that’s strange. What does the content of your ‘EZX_Cocktail’ look like? Mine looks like this:
And it’s supposed to look like this in EZD3:
While maybe obvious, I need to ask if you have closed and reopened EZdrummer 3 in between copying the files?
Have you rebooted your Mac?

John

Thank you John!
Sorry for the delay, I was very busy at my day job.
I checked the contents of my EZX-Cocktail folder and I was missing a lot of it.
I checked the folder in PM and it was all there so deleted the folder in my system and re-dragged the folder from the PM into my system and now it all works.
I cannot thank you enough for all of your time and patience with me. I am very grateful!
May God bless you richly!
