first off;
OS : 10.9.5 (apple)
Ok. so I have a new ocmputer. downloaded the PM. I see all my products. EZ Drummer 1, EZ Metal Machine.
Downloaded and installed the Updater.
I click install for Ez Drummer. says “installation complete” then, i see on my PM, *Installation incomplete*
Says that my updater in PM is NOT installed.
I dont know what is going on here. Is it the OS itself?
not the greatest tech savvy guy im trying to provide as much info as i can here.
also attached screenshots if that helps. maybe u see something i dont,
thanks!
When you click on the drop down menu (circled in red in the pic below) what does it indicate?

its just a drop down menu with options : install, uninstall, show in finder, open. different paths for the same thing
Are they grayed out or can you click on any of the options? If it did indeed get installed does it open in Toontrack Solo?
What does the Downloads tab look like? It may be indicating that you haven’t installed the Pop/Rock EZX and the Cocktail EZX. That’s what may be ‘Incomplete’ as those show as ‘Not Installed’.

nope, not grayed out. i clicked on all. went on and “intsalled” it again. says its complete. PM says no.
And it does in fact open in Toontrack Solo, but says to move the sounds to “/Applications/Toontrack/Ezdrummer :I go to this location. and there is no “EZDRUMMER” under the Toontrack folder…
I’m not a mac guy so perhaps John and chime in here. I do notice that you have OS 10.9.5 and the installer states 10.4 to 10.9 only. Maybe that’s the issue?

Hi,
that is strange indeed and maybe it is related to the OS but what bothers me is that the path to the Sounds should not be in the Applications path (as you are prompted) but ‘MacHD/Library/Application Support/EZDrummer’. Do you have any content there (in the ‘Library/Application Support’ path)?
Do you have any EZdrummer content in your Trash bin?

John

Ok, i just cheked the directroy you have mentioned and the sounds are there. So doesnt that mean that EZdrummer is in fact installed?? im going to try to reinstall everything.
Everytime i “install”
“The installation of your Toontrack product is completed.”
But the PM says not installed….. is there any way i can get a whole new EZDrummer1 and just start over with a different serial number…It probably sounds like a little much, but I need to finish this album ive been assigned to and i cant afford to lose any more time.
This Terminal command will likely fix the problem, so please open Application/Utilities/Terminal and copy/paste this line there and hit enter:
defaults delete com.toontrack.superior.auezdrummer SourcePath
Then open Toontrack solo and see if EZdrummer finds the sounds.

Thanked by: Andreas Dahle AagårdI have the same problem but with Windows 10. Toontrack PM tells me to install SDX MIDI Pack for Windows. It’s says that the installation is complete but PM still asks me to install the same SDX MIDI Pack over and over. The same happens with Metal Machine EZX installation. What should I do?
Kindest Regards, Erik
Erik,
It can be a bit more complicated on Windows. Please contact Support directly: https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/

Any luck figuring this out? I’m having the same issue. Looks like it’s installing RTAS Sound Libraries and MIDI. Somehow it’s not installing VST AU AAX and Standalone. Trying to installed on OS 10.13.6. Never had this issue on previous versions.
