I finally got bought the Indiependent SDX that I wanted for years! I already owned the Indie Folk EZX. In the Indie Folk EZX, there is a 4 Mic version of the drum kits. My understanding is that the Indiependent SDX is from the same sessions. Can you please tell me which of the Indiependent SDX’s mics I should be using to get the 4 mic kit sound that’s in the EZX?
Please, make it a preset in the SDX. I think this should have been included in the SDX, since there are several pairs of mics that aren’t routed to anything in the SDX. They have to be enabled (bleed), but I don’t know which mics I should be using. Also, it appears that all of the pieces of the kit aren’t in all of the mics. Please, indicate in the manual or on the plugin (when in operation) which kit pieces goes to which mics. I would like to know without having to go in and turn on all of the bleed for every pair of muted mics in the SDX.
Thanks for the Indiependent SDX! It sounds very, very good.
Hi,
if memory serves me right, you can use the ‘Kick In’, ‘SD Top’/’SD Bottom’, ‘OH Coles’ and ‘AMB Coles’ faders to get sound of the 4 Mic setup. You need to enable the bleeds for the Kick and Snare but lower them, depending on the rest of your treatment. You will need to mix between the Snare Top and Snare Bottom to get the balance. The EZX Presets have some EQ, compression and Reverb in them as well.

Thank you for your clear, concise answer and for taking the time to respond to my post. I’ll do some tweaking based on your information.
Hello. Can you remove the reverb from the presets entirely for a dry or dry-ish sound? Thank you.
