Importing Samples

I have a huge library of drum samples from Drums On Demand which I’m planning on using with SD3, but I’m wondering what they will sound like as far as velocity goes. I understand that every sample in your core library was recorded with soft and harder hits, so if I import a 3rd party snare for example will I have issues with this? Thanks.

You can import a sample and make it react to velocity, so that that the higher the velocity is (harder hit), the louder will the sample be played. You can also make your sample only play in certain velocity ranges, for example only have a custom sample play when your snare hits between velocity 100 and 127.
