Importing, playing along and saving

Can EZ drummer be used for the following?

A friend would record the guitar and the bass and send it to me so that I can add the drums and save that, then pass it back to him.

I have an Alesis Crimson 2 SE.

If your Ekit has a Midi-Out via USB. You can do it with a reasonably powered computer, EZdrummer 3, and a DAW. Not only EZDrummer.
