In ezplayer-I am importing some standard midi files and having the following problem:
When I preview the file in the top midi file area, the file plays back correctly.
When I drag it down into the tracks section it plays back wrong as if it is not mapped correctly.
I have tried all input mapping possibilities and none help. If I set the midi library to the wrong format, it will play back wrong in the preview section too.
But in general, several different source mappings result in the previews of the file to play correctly, but when pulled down to a track, it plays wrong.
All standard ezplayer files work fine so it is NOT my track settings that is the problem.
I would think that if a track previewed correctly when sent out to EZdrummer, and you dragged that midi file to a track set to ezdrummer output, it would play back the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
which version of EZplayer Pro are you using?
You can set the Map wrap on the Arranger Tracks as well.

The latest, 1.1.0.
It has been a really strange problem.
The other problem related is that if I manually place a folder with midi loops in the drive that ezpayer references, it will show in the library but not be “right-clickable” so as to enable manually source mapping.
If I import from inside ezplayer, then I can thereafter manually source map. As regards source mapping, I have tried everything from “thru” to standard midi.
The library I am trying to import came with Infinite Player and was called “files for edrummer”.
Anyway, this strange import situation has made me have to try things like : not putting the standard midi file into the midi folder so as to not let the system see it, so that I can import from the “add path” pull down menu.
But even if I put the midi files IN the midi folder in the toon tracks folder, it still doesn;t solve this problem of the samples playing correctly but changing when dragged into the tracks of ezplayer.
Does your company have phone support?

Quick note, I assume you’re trying to import from EZplayer onto your DAW and whilst the preview in EZ player is fine, when the file has been dragged and dropped into your project it’s playing back the wrong kit pieces?
Can I suggest having a look at the DAW’s own, individual drum-map settings, whether set to MIDI channel 10 or whether or not it’s set with a drummer-type plugin on the output, the map still intercepts what’s in the MIDI and hence the sampler will never receive the correct notes on playback. Ideally you need to set it to GM, or completely disabled, if nothing else to narrow the problem down easier.
Kind regards
D.

toodamnhip,
I think you are mixing things up when it comes to mount points. Please add mount points with your 3rd party format MIDI via the ‘Add Path’ in the Menu but these folders should not reside inside the Toontrack MIDI folder structure in the Finder, that will sooner or later cause you grief. Only Toontrack formatted MIDI can reside in the Toontrack MIDI structure. The content inside ‘My MIDI files’ also needs to be Toontrack formatted or at least GM standard.
Could you please provide us with a sample of the Infinte e-drummer MIDI?
If so, please send it to support toontrack • com (replace the brackets and bullet with you know what) and refer to this thread.
Best Regards,
John
