I’m a 66-year-old man. I’m disabled, profoundly deaf and recently diagnosed with Dementia.

Research evidence proves that music can significantly improve the symptoms of Dementia. So at the beginning of this year, to support the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Societies research into music and Dementia, I started my Dementia challenge of learning, singing and recording a song every day of 2021.

Today is my 135th song, and it is going well and have over visitors on 10,000 visitors to my blog. All my blog post are now sent to Twitter and Facebook, but to be honest, my knowledge of this is limited, but I hear it is going well.

This has been a steep learning curve but great fun. I’m using Logic Pro, which I had never heard of at the end of 2020.

I’ve tied various plugins and watch thousands of youtube videos, most being a complete waste of time, but then someone told me to look at EZ Mix. It looked good, so I decided to forgo eating this month; that’s a joke, I had soup… and bought it!

Great download and easy install. Got the manual offline and gave it a try!

Fantastic, I’ve only used it on my Voice tracks, but I’m so pleased. It is intuitive, straightforward and works like a dream. There is no, do this, do that, or understanding what they are talking about! It’s all about what you hear, and for me, that is everything. I’m selecting a preset, tweaking the knobs and listing what I get… try it with and without and away I go!

I don’t usually bother to say anything, but I was so impressed I thought I would quickly drop you a line.

I’m looking at all the other items you have available. I’ve been set a challenge to write my own song for the end of the challenge, so I like that EZ Keys idea, as I think it could help me compose a song. This is something else I have never done!
