Hey all!!

I Am thinking of buying EZ MIX. Whats your thoughts?

Is It a good tool? whats it like to use ? anyone have anexaple track they could let me hear ?

Useing It would you buss your drums out of Sonar in to your Daw(mine is sonar) and then use the EZ MIX on them there ? Or is it going to get better sounds from the onboard mixer in superrior

If It gets better sounds Its a winner because I didnt think they could get any better than they all I love the toon track products!!!!

Some one please help me decide If its worth me buying it?

One last thing Is how much is it In sterling not euros I live in scotland so not sure on the price exactly

I’m finding that I’m using it quite often on my recent mixes. I really like the tape simulator and Master presets. I use the Master 2 preset on the mix bus and turn the limiter off and just kiss the mix with a bit of tape sim and it glues things together nicely. I also really like the tape delays.

I also like experimenting with trying different preset with the ‘wrong’ instrument. What I mean is, I like trying a ‘guitar’ preset on a snare of a ‘kick’ preset on the bass guitar or a ‘vocal’ preset on a guitar solo. Nice to try thing to see if it sound better or not. That’s one of the nice things with this plugin.

I use it a lot as well, especially when making quick mixes. I like the delays a lot, and since I am useless when it comes to mixing bass, I tend to use the bass presets a lot as well. The kick drum presets are also useful, although I usually mix it in Superior instead.

A couple of quick last questions before I buy in the morning guys!

Is it a 64bit vst ? is there any knowen issues runing it in Sonar producer 8.5.3?

Last question is….. Are there any brick wall limiters or maxamizers or anything like that built in ?

Not that that matters I am just interested to know

As long as it will run on my system I wil be buying it no mater what since its such a good price and toon tracks products are just hands down awesome 😀

yes it is 64 bit, and no there should be no problem in Sonar 8.5.3 (presumably 64 bit). There are a couple of concerns on localized systems and we found a bug that can affect host automation of the EZmix faders but both will be addressed in an update shortly (although it is unlikely you run into either).

there is a limiter module under the hood yes, but I would not say any presets are aimed at ‘maximizing’ specifically as presets included tend to implement a full chain of effects for a particular, more complex and interactive if you will, result.
