Hybrid Kit with SD3

Hello community, I need advice on whether this works. I wanted to build a hybrid kit with normal cymbals but normal shells with mesh heads and in-shell triggers. now my question is interface with midi and powerful pc i have too. but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a module like gewa, pearl or roland. would this work with an alesis dm5 which a colleague would sell me for little money.
