I saw a video that shows highlighting the groove and then muting but I can’t seem to make it happen. Can someone give me some detail on how I mute the drums in sound track?
Thanks,
Don…..
Hi,
can you be more specific, please?
Is this in a specific DAW? Or are you referring to the EZdrummer 2 Song Track? If the latter, you right-click on it, to bring up the contextual menu and select ‘Mute’.

I’ll do my best.
I’m using Reaper and I’m using ezd2 as an effect on a track in Reaper. I saw a video called “How To Build A Song With Ezdrummer2”. This video was on Reaper Tv. About 21 minutes it’s shown how to mute the groove in ezd2’s Sound Track (I believe that’s what it’s called), it’s the place you drag the groove to play it and edit it.
The video show the groove being highlighted by dragging the mouse over the groove. You can see the groove being highlighted with dotted lines. Then the video says to right click and choose “Mute”. The groove darkens. The purpose behind this is so youndont ha ave the groove playing twice at the same time in your song. Once from the effect in the song and the second occurrence in ezd2’s Sound Track.
When I try to do this I try to highlight the groove by dragging the mouse over the groove. I see the dotted lines appear over the groove but they don’t stay and, the groove isn’t really highlighted. And when I right click there isn’t any option to “Mute”.
I hope I’ve explained this thouroghly. Im trying to mute the groove in ezd2.
Thanks for your help and response,
Don…..
Which version number is displayed in the plugin interface (lower right corner)?

Please update to the latest version of EZD2 which is 2.1.4 and see if that fixes it.

Scott,
Thanks. I will do that but how do I find that update? I apologize for not knowing but I’m new to EZD2 and this forum.
Thanks again,

The easiest way is the use the Toontrack Product Manager. See the info page below and watch the walkthrough video for details.

I have the same issue. Running the demo version of EZD2 (2.1.1)
Once the groove is made and I drag/drop it into Reaper, hit play and both reaper and EZD2 run at it the same time making it very loud and annoying.
So I need to mute the EZD groove by selecting all parts, right click and hit mute.
But once done there is no mute option.
Is this a restriction on the demo? Or it is just that the demo is an older version without the mute option?

If you have grooves on the EZD2 Song Track and in your daw, hitting play in your daw will cause both to playback unless you disable the Follow Host in EZD2.
