Hi….
I’m having trouble trying to get good cymbal swells using a TD12 kit. I’m using Pintech visualite ecymbals and have tried messing with the velocity curves and sensitiverty controls within the TD12 module but can’t seem to get decent swells. When i just use the module the swells are much better. Is there a better way to do this?, should i be exploring SD’s velocity and sensertiverty controls more? and if so can anyone please sugest some starting points for me. Also i’m having a simular prob with my snare and toms although they sound great, my soft hits are ok but the transition between soft and hard is not quite smooth, it’s like the full velocity midi note (127) is being triggered to early???.
Many thanks in advance to any help…..:)

hum, your second question, should be covered in the manual, page 20 or so, although if your hits are registered at full velocity you will very likely need to address this in your module instead, by adjusting the sensitivity of the offending pads.
In term of cymbal swells the most common problem is the prominent attack that accompany each sample you trigger by hitting the cymbal repeatedly. My advise is to setup one of your cymbal (assuming they are dual zone) to trigger a duplicate ‘x-drums’ with an adjusted envelope to soften the attack.
