Ok, finnally after some hours of internet investigation, found how to change the mapping from my Alesis DM6 e-drum to ToonTrack SOLO hosting EZdrummer. maybe there is a simpler solution but I tried this one, and works!
You have to use two free sotware:
eDrum MIDI Mapper http://audiomidi.chaoticbox.com/
Loopbe1 http://www.nerds.de/
1) Download and Install both (they are free for personal use)
2) Plug your e-drum kit (in my case i use Alesis DM6 USB KIT )
3) Open eDrum MIDI Mapper and select Midi IN, device –> USB Audio Device; Midi OUT Device, select –> loopbe internal midi
4) On PAD menu option, select, New Generic, double click it and edit the note of the Midi OUT, to the note of the instrument you want to play on Ezdrummer.
5) Have Fun !!
Why I must use two middi mappers?? because when ToonSolo use the USB audio device, eDrum MIDI Mapper cant use it, so DM6 Kit writes midi in eDrum MIDI Mapper, who change the midi notes you configure in it, and write into loopbe in order that ToonSolo can read it.
How you can Know the note of the instrument you want to map??, the following draw can help you

In my case I need to re-map the Ride Cymbal of my Kit, in order to work as a second Crash, so in eDrum MIDI Mapper, I create a new Drum PAD, and change the Midi input note of my Ride (D#3) to the Crash 2 of ezdrummer (A3).
If you dont know the note of any pad of your e-drum, you can press the … button on the eDrum Midi Mapper, strike the pad and it will show you the note of that PAD.
For the Alesis DM6 USB KIT, the are the notes that appears on the eDrum Midi Mapper for each pad:
D#3 RIDE
D2 SNARE
A#2 OPEN HH
F#2 CLOSE HH
C#3 CRASH 1
C3 TOM 1
A2 TOM 2
G2 TOM 3
C2 BASS DRUM
Hope this will be usefull for you
Is it just me or do you not think this SHOULD be part of the over all functionality? The simpler solution would be TOONTRACK puts out functioning software with midi mapping ….Or even simpler you take ezdrummer back to the store ask for your money back ….then go buy one of the other 3-4 drumming software packs out there that comes with midi mapping…….After reading what you had to do to map kinda made me sick to think about……
I just contacted ToonTrack help about this very problem after spending $247. I was told you get what you get and to spend $200 on Superior Drummer which does support Midi Mapping.
please help … I followed the instructions but hitting the pad of my alesis dm6 does not recognize anything ..
Hi, i had to thank you, even if its a old post, because yesterday evening i finally succeed to change the mapping of my DM6 thanks to your tutorial!
The only thing is that it seems note specify in EZDRUMMER 2 didnt match with reality.
Dont know if its clear but for example, i choose D7 which is crash cymbal but for me it was a ride!!
Strange but after several test, finally succeed!!
Great Drum and have many much value with EZ2!
Hi jooldi,
if you are using the latest update to EZdrummer, the Alesis MIDI Preset should work well with your DM6 at its Factory settings. You shouldn’t use EZdrummer 2 with Toontrack solo.

Hi john, i already try that and didnt change somrething.
Regarding my other post, do you have any idea on how to proceed to make EZ2 work in Studio One 2?
I do have the same challenge one of the Cymbal is only active when , I connect Alesis DM6 USB with EZDrummner. Kindly suggest me how to activate other features say Kick, Snare & Tom…
