how do I use the CLEAN button in EZkeys

I found a CLEAN button in the circle of fifth, but it is always off.
How do I use it and what is the function of it?

The clean button is made to clean up chords from notes that doesn’t belong in the chord. Sometimes this is something you want, but sometimes the notes outside the chord just sounds bad – so we made this button.

If the button is off and can’t be pressed it’s because the chord is “clean”, e.g. no more notes can be removed.
