I’ve been trying for a while now but can’t seem to get it to work properly. The VST is in the correct folder, and I set the path to see that folder – without luck. When I enter the window to set the path, I can see both the Superior Drummer and EZdrummer VSTs, but they are greyed out and un-clickable. Is it because I’m running Ableton in 64 bit? I’m not sure if my Superior is 32 or 64 bit- does anyone know how I can determine that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I should also add I’m on a Mac, running OSX 10.9.5

Yes there is but I wasn’t planning on buying a new DAW to use SD3.. Oh well..
I believe there is a 64-bit version of Live 9. You might want to contact Ableton to confirm.

Hi Scott
I’ve downloaded Ableton Live 10 trial 64bit, but still unable to see SD3 – although I’ve selected the file path. Do you have any further advice?

What is the exact install path of the Superior Drummer .dll?
If you are positive you have the correct path to the .dll set and you are positive you’re running a 64-bit DAW, and you are positive you are loading a VST instrument (not an effect plugin) in that DAW correctly, I can’t think of any reason its not working.

Thanked by: Djembe14Thanks Scott..
After more fiddling about I have SD3 working in Ableton – I think I needed to remove all the 32bit plugins from the folder first – seems to have helped.
Many thanks for your responses and clarification on the 64 bit issue – very helpful đź‘Ť

Abelton Live 10Â . I hav installed all needed. In Ableton Live 10 there is VST3 folder and what I see there is a folder Toontrack. I have instaled EZDRummer and Latin PercuisionEZX . But none of them visible in Ableton. Please for help
Hi dmarinov,
Toontrack plug-ins are not VST3, so they should not be in that folder.
Did you move/copy the VST .dll file after you installed? Did you perform any kind of Customisation during installation?
If you start the standalone EZdrummer 2 64-bit application, you can go to the Help Menu and ‘Show Plug-In Path…’ to see where the 64-bit VST .dll file resides. This path needs to be added to Ableton VST scan paths, so that Live picks it up next time it starts up. You may need to enter the Preferences in Live to force a Rescan.

John
