how can I tell what version of EZD I’m using

I just bought it today from Long and McQuade and it just says EZDrummer on the box.

Hi,

then it is EZdrummer 1 and the latest available update, which will show up in your Toontrack account upon registering, is 1.3.3.
I would suggest using the Full Download installer and then update instead of using the DVD.
