Hello all,
I have annoying bug that I would love if you can solve it for me as I really don’t know what to do after digging the manual and the video examples.
I own TD9 with vh11, when I hit the HiHat when it’s close I get a sound like its open.
So I went to the midi mapping options and tried to train the program to understand the new positions.
I opened the Hihat screen in the module, so I can see where the HiHat pedal is and tried to program it.
So I close the pedal tried to make it learn.
all good.
trained the open hihat press: learn it
all good.
tried to train it to closed edge
all good.
tried one of the open edge options, and the HIHat went crazy, when I close the Hihat I sometime hear the closed edge sound and some times the open edge…
so I program it again to close edge and it worked fine, but with no open edge sound at all.
when I try to program it again, I get the same Hihat crazy sound again.
any idea what is going on here???
Hi,
getting the HH to work properly, does not include Learning separate articulations.
Your best bet would be to reset any changes you have made to the mapping (e.g. by loading a factory preset again) and then open the MIDI In/E-drums Settings and select the Roland Preset.
This will make the incoming MIDI from your module transformed to the Toontrack Default mapping and sets up the Trig notes for the HH and opens and closes correctly with the CC data sent from your module when you open and close the Pedal.
