Some e-drummer feedback for you; when “fully opened” value is set to 0, it’s not possible to define/limit the maximum openness. This means that even if you move ‘”Open 2″ (and all others above it) to 0 (CC) level (in order to define “Open 2” sample as the maximum openness sound) SD still triggers “fully open” sample. The reason I think is that SD engine prioritises the CC level defined for “fully opened” in calibration section over what is defined for 0 (CC) level in pedal openness bar.
I found a trick to deal with it though; I set “fully opened” level to 1 (via calibration which is extremely difficult for e-drummers as hihat triggers are not that precise yet) and then I move “Open 2” to 1 (CC) level and SD triggers “Open 2” sample when I fully open the hihat.
I hope I could explain properly. (and can you please us give some more snares-off samples in the next SDX 🙂
