Hi Everybody,
I’m trying to program my Drumkat 3.5’s hi-hat sounds. I have a hatKat pedal. I can trigger up to 8 different hi-hat sounds (notes) in order to simulate the continuous open-closed range.
But I’m a little confused by the terminology in EZ Drummer Key Mapping. Which notes should I use? From which range? 21 to 26 or 60 to 65? What do those two ranges refer to? What does Seq soft or Seq hard, etc. mean?
Thank you for any help you may offer.

sorry for missing your query originally.
seq (hard and soft) are Hats sequences of closed hits chopped in individual hits to guarantee a certain lineage between them. they are not velocity sensitive hence one note dedicated to hard hits and another to soft(er).
in term of how to map your hihats the best would be to use Toontrack solo and let the edrum preset operate its magic. Just set your pad to send note a single note, 46 for example.
Alternatively, if you need to use a dedicated host then you can try assigning the 22 to 26 range… it has been too long I have used my DrumKat to exactly remember how this all come together to produce several levels of open however.
