I’m new to EZD. I want to replace the drums on songs that I’ve recorded. They’re not just loops (but I know how to do loops). What I want to know is, How do I create drums with different patterns and beats to fit my songs? I have a controller and can hit the beats. But if I want to edit the snare or high hat, etc., how do I do that?
Thanks,
Greg
The answer is in your software host program.
What is it? Reaper, Cubase, Logic?
You should break out the manual and look up midi editing, midi recording.
I’m using Sonar X1.
Yeah, I’m not finding in my Sonar manual how to use EZD . . . which is why I came here and asked for help.
I don’t have Sonar X1 so I don’t have the manual. Please search the manual on how to load Virtual Instruments (EZdrummer is a Virtual Instrument) and how to use the MIDI editor or Piano Roll or whatever Sonar calls it.
You can drag and drop grooves from the EZdrummer groove browser and edit them in the MIDI editor. You can also use a MIDI keyboard/controller to manually play in beats and edit them in the MIDI editor as well.
