I’ve had Ezdrummer for some time but haven’t used it much or at least used it enough to understand how to get started. Ive watched videos and see that people make it look fairly simple. But that hasn’t been my experience. So I need some help and I’m hoping someone here will offer some.
For me using the Tap 2 Find has been a chore and I guess this is where I’d like to start asking for help. That is unless someone has another suggestion.
So, how do I make tap 2 find work easily? I don’t have a midi keyboard in my setup so when I use tap 2 find I use my mouse to tap in the drums. Since my computer is kind of slow this can cause problems with timing and quick multiple beats. I spend a lot of time just trying to “tap” in a few drums and beats. Is there an easier/better way to do this?
I’ll leave it at that. I do have other questions but until I get better at this the others aren’t so important.
Thanks to anyone who replies and offers help and guidance.

You should start by looking at what buffer size you have – larger buffer sizes requires less CPU (processor) usage but leads to slower response times (latency).
Do you work in a host/DAW (such as Cubase, Pro Tools, Logic, etc)? If you do, then the buffer size setting is done in the host. If not, the buffer size setting is done in EZdrummer 2.
All real time playing on virtual instruments will be tricky if the latency is high (above 10-20 ms).
Further, if you use a host, you can manually program a MIDI beat in the piano roll editor, and use that to search similar beats with. This is sometimes easier than tapping it in real time into Tap2Find.
