I am running Bandlab Cakewalk on a Windows 10 machine (8GB RAM, 3.40GHz, 64 bit operating system)
I am running the demo version of the EZdrummer 2, which is as impressive as you advertise. I thought I had a problem to get separate tracks in the DAW for different parts of the kit but I resolved that.
However I was unable to copy the clips from the original EZdrummer track which was set up as a Simple Instrument Track in the Soft Synth Options, and I think I might understand why, but what could have been simple was made difficult by the fact that I could not remember from where I had selected each of the clips (for intro verse, chorus etc).
So, to my question: is there a way to identify the source of a clip? On the clip itself it says, say, ‘Variation 01’, but although I can determine the clip to be an intro or verse – because of the position in the track (although in the past I have used a Chorus clip for a verse and a Verse for an Intro so it is not always intuitive) – I have no idea from where in the browser it was chosen. Is there a Properties or Path option somewhere? This would be really useful for future projects.
Best regards,
Hi,
If you keep a clip in the EZdrummer 2 Songtrack at the bottom of the plugin window you can always right click it and click “Show in Browser”.
If you dragged the clip directly from the browser and out to the track in your DAW one way to find the clip would be to export it from the DAW and then use that clip in the Tap2Find tool in EZdrummer 2 to find similar clips. Using the same clip should render a 100% match.
