Would be nice to have a third option between cached and uncached samples; an option that can identify and load the cached samples used in a track by loading up the project instead of a) loading every sample in a kit and b) waiting for the midi to trigger a sample before it will load.
I use cached mode quite often to take the load off my computer and to be able to efficiently use several libraries at once, but I also have to play the entirety of a track to be certain that it loads every sample while in cached mode. It would be nice to either have a checkbox to tell SD to recall the samples used per session/per track or some way for the program to identify what samples are used (and load them) from the opening of a project.
Freezing is also an option, but freezing and unfreezing tracks to make a single change can also be just as time consuming (especially on tracks that are +6 minutes). Just looking for the most efficient option and I think the software could help out there.
