Hi, I have Ezdrummer 3 trial and I can get my electric drums to work with the software live ( IE change the drums sounds and play via midi) but when I do this it crashes my soundcard, and am unable to use it for systems sounds or to run a backing track, I have to restart the computer (using ASIO4all) driver, if I use the driver from my drums manufacturer (NUX) it wont pick up the module when I use any other sound driver I get lag even with lowest packet selected. SO i can either have laggy drums and sound, or the drums sounds work but none of the others software sounds will. Any idea’s?
Most users use a dedicated Audio Interface. The cheapest Focurite 2i2 or 4i4 are typically good for people getting into it.
ASIO4ALL is great. But if you want to get serious about audio production, it may get you close, but not all of the way like a dedicated audio interface.
Best of luck.
