While trying to install EZX Hip Hop & EZX Southern Soul I get a message saying I need to upgrade to proceed, but I am upgraded, I upgraded from EZD1 TO EZD2 over 20 months ago. Never any problem until I recently upgraded many of my EZX’s and EZD2, then started having problems where it would bring up EZD1 and say I need to upgrade soon to EZD2. Reinstalled original version of EZD2 and was OK until I bought these last 2 EZX packs yesterday. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do now, do they want me to repurchase EZD2?????
What version of EZD2 in showing on the EZD2 interface? The latest version is not 20 months old. The latest is version 2.1.1 and is in the Updates tab under your EZD2 product in your Toontrack account.

Scott,
Thanks for helping. Here are screenshots of what I have, minus serial numbers. FYI, it shows no authorized computer, but it has worked fine since I got it – until recently. Also the 20 months was a guesstimate based on approximately when EZD2 came out.

So what version number shows on your EZD2 interface? Lower left corner or check the Menu->About EZdrummer.
My guess is that you are running 2.0.2 and not 2.1.1 so you would correctly get an error. The latest EZXs require 2.1.1.

Yes, I have 2.1.1 64 bit as you can see in these snapshots. I tried again to install Hip Hop EZX, but got the “you need latest version” message again. As you can see, I have a lot of your products, many of which I bought yesterday and they installed fine. I also have many EZKeys & EZMix2 products. In all I have 20 of your products, which I love.
There is no authorized computer shown for EZD2, but it has worked anyway, except for these newer packs, could this be the problem?? There are some others that have no authorized computers, but they work.
Try running the 2.1.1 update again then try installing the Hip-Hop EZX again.

OK. Does not authorizing EZD2 any problem, because it does work.
Can’t say I’ve heard of the software working without it being authorized.

P.S.,
Just a suggestion: Do you think you could get your website people to accept .tiff files in addition to the other formats accepted. I have a Mac and I use Grab to get screenshots, but their default is .tiff, so I had to convert them all to .jpeg to upload them. I’m sure this would be appreciated by all the Mac users out there.
Thanks so much for helping me resolve my problem!
