I am hoping someone can answer this concern. I have searched everywhere on this forum, and using google but don’t see anyone else asking the question.
I am thinking of adding EZMIX 2 to my plugin collection, in order to have some fast presets I can use. Being a country / roots musician, I am looking at adding the Chuck Ainlay and likely the Mastering packs.
But here is my concern. The Chuck Ainlay Pack was initially prepared for EZMIX (not EZMIX2) and it appears that earlier program allowed 3 parameters to be altered. In EZMIX2 there are only 2 parameters.
1: If Chuck Ainlay provided you 3 to edit, what happens to the 3rd parameter in EXMIX2?
2: If Chuck Ainlay thought it was important to have that 3rd Parameter, why would it be removed in EZMIX2?
3: Which control is missing in EXMIX 2 (slider 1, 2 or 3)?
4: Is there any way to edit that 3rd parameter in EZMIX 2 (ie: with a ctrl or command button)?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the newer packs (Mastering, Amps, Vocals, etc…) are prepared for 2 parameters on EZMIX2 and there may be many more features (aside from navigation) in regards to fx not available in EZMIX1. I’m just concerned that the pack I am most interested in (Chuck Ainlay) may be crippleware in EZMIX2.
All preset packs work exactly in EZmix2 as they did in EZmix1. In EZmix1 there were 3 faders [Shape, Blend, and Level (Output)]. In EZmix2, there are 4 knobs (Input, 2 Control knobs, and Output).
The EZmix1 Shape and Blend faders are mapped to the 2 Control Knobs in EZmix2 and the Level fader in EZmix1 is mapped to the Output knob in EZmix2.

Thanks for this info Scott. I have never owned or used EZMIX 1 or 2 so I was not sure how it all worked. Thanks for clearing it up and putting my mind at ease!
