I’m sure this belongs in the EZmix forum, but I don’t own it yet so I don’t have access to post or read posts there. What I’m wondering is are there standalone signal chains for guitar, without utilizing the amp and/or cabinet modeling? For example, if I’ve already recorded a guitar tone I like (not direct in), are there presets to apply to that already recorded track? Basically I’d want the same functionality that EZmix applies to vocals, just a signal chain that will automatically apply compression, EQ, etc. to the raw recording.
I can’t seem to find a clear answer anywhere, and I’ve seen some conflicting answers so I’m hoping I can get an answer here.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Yes, there are preset signal chains for all kinds of instruments, including guitars. There are amp chains that include amp modeling, but there are also chains for already amped and recorded guitars. Of course, experimenting is the name of the game. Try a keys preset chain in a guitar. Or a vocal chain on a kick drum.
