Yes, this is the most exciting new feature in Cubase for me, although I prefer to use Reaper. I will upgrade my Cubase for this, anyway. Not only can the chord track control a single track like EZKeys in principle does. It can control all of your midi tracks. So provided the quality of how the music is transcibed is good, it will beat EZKeys in usability.

… I have never cared for yet another piano sound that comes with EZKeys, only the midi part of it. And I have several times asked for Toontrack to give us a midi output, so that EZKeys could drive organs, violins whatever you have in your sampler like Kontakt. Now Cubase probably will do this for me, and better than EZKeys maybe with multiple tracks and instruments. Alas, I cannot use this in Reaper, so I would still like EZKeys to give me a midi ouput.

I demoed EZkeys and like it, especially the Presets and so on..

Tombuur – you could try http://www.liquid-notes.com, it provides multi track import and output, so you could connect it with Reaper again. I use it a while now and connect it with Logic. I’m quite happy with it. It doesn’t provide loops like EZKeys, it has kind of another philosophy.

And its much cheaper than Cubase 😉
