I am new here and was hopping someone could give me a hand with a annoying problem.
Hope I post his at the right place.
I updated some toontrack stuff on my studio computer today, adding Dream Pop EZX to my EZdrummer 2 (also added some midi to the EZkeys and a amp pack to EZmix, but they work fine).
After doing this do EZdrummer not work in Cubase (8.5, latest update and a bought one).
When trying to start EZ do I get a “EZdrummer have crashed. Crash dump file at bla bla…”.
It makes no difference if it is a new project or trying to open a old one, same thing.
But open an old project gets stuck so I have to reboot.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall both EZdrummer and Cubase, not working.
I found something here on the forum about removing some files and that didn’t work either.
EZdrummer version 2.0.2
Windows 7 Ultimate
64 bit system
64 GB RAM
Anyone who have an idea?
Cheers
Magnus
The Dream Pop EZX needs the latest version of EZD2. Which is 2.1.4.
2.0.2 is very old.
Please download Product Manager and make sure everything is up to date.

Thanks!
Tried that, not working.
It is 2.1.4 now. It works fine outside of Cubase.

Has the .dll been manually moved or copied since it was installed? Is Cubase 32-bit or 64-bit? Have you installed the 32-bit or 64-bit EZD2?

I have not moved anything.
Only started product manager and added the new stuff and did all updates it said I should (some midi stuff I think).
Before that did everything work perfectly.
All are 64-bit, both EZ and Cubase (and computer).

Could removing the new sound extension help?
Thanks for you time, by the way. It is much appreciated.

If you only have the 1 64-bit 2.1.4 version of EZD2 on your system and it works in standalone, is Cubase picking up that version? In the EZD2 standalone, you can check the path to the plugin in Help. Is this the path to that EZD2 .dll set in Cubase?

I don’t know where to find that information in Cubase. Do you know where I should look?
But can installing a extension set that wrong in Cubase?

I removed the dream pop and now it works.
I guess someone up there don’t want me to do pop music.
Thanks for your help.

What version number shows on the EZD2 interface when you open it in Cubase?

It does say 2.1.1
So I guess we found the problem.
Now I need to figure out who to correct it.

Do a Windows search for the ezdrummer.dll. Delete all that are found. Run the 64-bit EZD2 update again.

After that, to set the plugin path in Cubase, see this FAQ.
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-set-the-path-to-my-toontrack-plug-in-in-cubase/
Check the Help menu in the EZD2 standalone for the plugin path. Set that path in Cubase.

So many thanks that it would take all night to say them, thanks.
Recording guitar now, so I fix it later.
No pop now anyway.
