Hi,
Been trying to get EZdrummer demo and Solo to work but it has gone all wrong – on 2 Macs.
Downloaded Demo and Solo from Toontrack to my Imac (fully updated – never had a problem).
Demo worked – Solo said it could’nt find VST but when you make a path it’s right where it should be but you cannot click/activate it.
Tried to uninstall both programs and try again.
Now when I install Demo the installating goes through and get a message that I can find the program in Applications. But it’s not there. It’s not ANYWHERE!!! Not orange button to be found anywhere. How can the installer say installation was a succes when the program is nowhere to be found? – only files in various places.
Have tried several times to reinstall but no luck. Got an error at some point (start of install) about the path is uses is broken and I had to manually do it.
Then I gave up on getting this to work on my Imac. On to the old Macbook running 10.6.8 – should be used to power some V-Drums.
Excact same thing happens.
Install Demo – works fine. Install Solo – cannot find drummer. The VST is in place again but will not be clicked on when I try to create a path.
Try to uninstall Solo – can’t do that as it says it can’t find the program – I can open the program but it’s not there when I want to remove it. Weird shit :-/
Have now uninstalled Demo and try to install it again. Now comes the same message about a place where EZdrummer store sounds is broken. But it’s there.
Really, don’t understand any of this. Everything have always run smooth when working with these machines. Never had a problem installing or uninstalling ANYtHiNG.
Was so looking forward to trying this and probably buyjg it as the sounds and work process is incredible.
Please, help me out if you can.
These things have I already tried:
– download again from Toontrack (several times)
– uninstall/reinstall
– make sure the VST file is in place after install
– running disc utility to fix problems
Hoping for some serious help here.
Peter
Update:
EZdrummer Demo reinstalled and working on the old macbook (10.6.8).
Solo still cannot find drummer and will not accept the VST when I create a simular path at the preinstalled one. The VST is there but I cannot choose it.
Guess we could use our V-drums directly in EZdrummer without going through Solo?
How do I get Solo to work again?
Still no luck on the new and up to date Imac.
After succesful installation of EZdrummer Solo there is no folder in Applications and no orange app to start the program.
The folder locates itself in Users/shared (why I don’t know). I follow the instuction to install in Mactintosh HD and we are only 1 user on the Mac).
If I force the folder to applicatins during instal the end result is the same – no orange EZdrummer icon. Only the folder.
I simply download from Toontrack and hit instal. This is weird.
Can you help with this? Is so frustrated and disapointed at the moment. Have spend endless hours since sunday on this.
Update:
besides these posts I wrote an email and got a hopeless reply.
Did a clean reinstall of Yosemite on the Imac and now things are working again.
When deliting either SOLO or DEMO something must have messed up some system files.
Now it´s working fine and I have bought the full version – just waiting to get the activation email from the music store
I’m having this same problem with the EZD 2 demo. I installed Solo 64 bit and EZD 2 demo 64 bit. The plugin works fine by itself, but Solo will not recognize the DLL path.
The .dll is in the default installation folder: C:Program FilesVstPlugins
Nothing seems wrong with the installation, the plugin runs fine by itself but that does me no good for playing edrums.
System is Windows 7 64

You shouldn’t load the EZD2 demo in Solo. EZD2 opens in its own standalone version. Solo is for the Toontrack programs that don’t have a standalone version (S2, EZD1).
See this FAQ regarding using EZD2 and edrums. EZD2 may not be your best choice for edrums where S2 might.
