    Hi,

isn’t there a ‘Toontrack’ folder in your Applications folder?

Regarding High Sierra and AU plugins, please see Olof’s reply here:

    Hi John,

as you can see in the attached files there is nothing in the app folder. Is seems that it is upgrading something, maybe my previous attempt to install, but nothing to run.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
    please try the following:
Open Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and then copy paste this exact command. It will ask for your admin/computer password.
    sudo pkgutil –forget com.toontrack.ezdrummer.app.pkg
Then run the installer and it should now also install the standalone.

    John

    Hi John,

Thanks, it is now working in standalone mode.

Now my problem is that it’s not working in garageband, it does not even appear in the AU lists. Can you help me?

    Thanks,
    Marco

    Hi Marco,

are you creating a Software Instrument Track and are you adding an AU Instrument > Toontrack > EZdrummer 2?
You will not find EZdrummer 2 among the AU Generator plugins.

    Hi John,

just did what you told – creating a Software Instrument Track and are you adding an AU Instrument > Toontrack > EZdrummer 2, now the option is there but once I choose it the attached error message appears.

    I have MacOSX 10.13.1 and Garageband 10.2

    thanks,

    Yes,

for that part, please see the link I posted in my first reply; but in short Apple has made Garageband an iPhone/iPad app first and computer app second.
There is a workaround to make regular AU plugins work with Garageband under High Sierra linked.

    Hi John,

thanks for your quick and effective support.

    Only have 3 questions:
1 – Toontrack will release a patch to correct this?
2 – do I need to do the workaround every time I start garageband?
3 – Logic Pro runs ok with your instruments?

    Regards,
    Marco

1 – This is not a Toontrack plugin specific problem, it is Apple that need to make changes to Garageband.
2- If I understand it correctly, yes.
3 – No other application; Logic, Ableton, Reaper, etc. that uses AU plugins have changed and thus the plugins run as usual.

    BR,
    John
