    Hi John,
Generic CC still has the same issue.

I just reinstalled my TD15 to test. Same issue. I never noticed before because the hihats worked perfectly straight up without having to select roland.
I also noticed the module sounds and dynamics are better in the TD15 compared to the TD30 but that’s another story all together haha.

It sounds as if your modules do not have the Roland Factory setting MIDI layout, then.
The Roland E-drums MIDI Preset maps incoming notes to their right triggers and sets up the Hi-Hat triggering as well. IOW, there is supposed to be a MIDI note transforming but that requires the incoming note to be what’s expected.
Can you back up your module’s settings and then perform a Factory Reset to confirm this?
You are using the EZdrummer 2.1.4 app for standalone operation?

    Hi John,
I’m running 2.1.4 which I uninstalled and reinstalled today.
I reinstalled TD30 drivers for windows 7 today.
    I reinstalled TD30 version 1.13 today.
I performed a factory reset also.
Not sure what else to do. Has anyone else had this issue?
    Thanks

    Hi,

I will ask a colleague but I don’t think we’ve seen this particular problem, though.
In a nutshell: your problem is that with no E-drum mapping selected, all drums except the HH trigger correctly. If you select the Roland mapping, only the HH triggers correctly?

    Yes
When I choose Roland I get perfect hihats but have the issue you can see in previous photos with midi notes not going to the right path or destination.
If I don’t choose any mapping I’m able to change midi notes and they go where they should but the hihats are unuseable.

So I’ve now upgraded to SD2 and the midi learn feature seems to have solved the problem so far.
Any thoughts on the original issue? Having to upgrade to SD2 is pretty expensive and extreme.

    Hi,

I haven’t received a response yet but I think he’s on vacation until Monday.
I still don’t know why the Roland Mapping Preset won’t work even if you have reset the module to Factory settings. I can’t recall that happening to any user before.

    Hi,

    sorry for the delay.
Upon receiving my colleague’s reply and re-reading your post, I think it’s simply that you wish to trigger an articulation that isn’t sampled in the library.
To elaborate, the example you are referring to is note #55, which in the Roland module is Crash 1 Bow so with the E-drums mapping in EZdrummer 2 it is remapped to note #49, same as the edge. Most of our EZX libraries don’t have the bow recorded so it makes sense. It sounds like you want to trigger a splash with the bow of your crash and the Crash 1 with the edge which is what would happen in this instance if the Roland map isn’t used.

To get the selective control you want, you kind of leave the ‘EZ’ area and you would be better off with Superior 2 or rather Superior 3.
This would give you much more control over your E-drumming needs and tweaking.

    BR,
    John

Hmm well I can assign any instrument out of EZD2 to my trigger of choice unless I choose Roland mapping which I need for my Hihat to work correctly.
Having dual zone cymbals allows 2 different samples to be assigned to the cymbal trigger (eg edge as a crash and bow as a splash) but only if I don’t select Roland mapping.
    Seems very strange to me…….

Hi there! I have two physical midi devices (QuNeo and U-Control) connected to my Mac via USB. I’m running MicroTonic 3 as VST in Ableton and I’m trying to map certain knobs to MicroTonic controls. It turns out that MicroTonic listens to midi sent only from QuNeo device, while ignores everything from U-Control. Both devices are working in Ableton, so that’s not an issue with DAW/connection. I need some solution to be able to map midi from both devices, or at least from U-Control device, while still having both devices connected. Please help.
